Nancy Langbehn (Hayden)

Nancy K. Hayden, 69, of Davenport, died Thursday, June 24, 2010, at Genesis Medical Center, West Central Park, Davenport.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 27, at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline.Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 28, at Hope United Church of Christ in Moline.Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Cemetery.Memorials may be made to Hope United Church of Christ.

Nancy K. Langbehn was born in Moline on Sept. 18, 1940, to Peter and Margaret West Langbehn.On March 26, 1983, in Davenport, she married Lawrence Hayden, who survives.

She graduated with the Moline High School Class of 1958, and received her teaching degree at Illinois State University. She taught English at Glenview Middle School in East Moline, retiring in 2000, after 25 years.

She was a member of Hope United Church of Christ in Moline, was Church Historian and Registrar, a member of the Ruth Circle and played in the Bell Choir.She was also a member of the Zal Caldron in Moline. She loved scrap-booking, and made picture albums and scrapbooks for all her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Larry, survivors include children, Scott Miles, Alpha, Peter Miles, Cedar Falls, Iowa, Ken Hayden, St. Paul, Minn., Sarah Hayden (Mirocha), Bettendorf, and Emily Hayden-Horning, Fenton, Mo.; and 15 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother: Mike Langbehn.
