I remember Kurt from our days together at Calvin Coolidge Junior high school.  He was, indeed, a friend to all.  I don't remember anyone ever saying that they didn't like Kurt.   Reading this article today brings back a flood of memories.   I particularyl remember that Kurt was a really good football player but got hurt a lot which kept him off of the first string.  I lost track of Kurt in High School but like to think that we always remained friends.
