Howard Hansen VIEW PROFILE

DAVENPORT -- Howard M. Hansen, died Thursday, January 31, 2008, unexpectedly in Fort Myers, Fla. Howard M. Hansen was born February 27, 1940, in Moline, to Howard R. and Marian (Schlein) Hansen. He married Joneene C. Simonovich on August 8, 1974. Mr. Hansen retired in 2002 from Local 25 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union. Before joining the union, Howard was owner of Hansen's Plumbing and Heating in Moline. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Mississippi Model Boaters and The Rock and Gem Society. Survivors include his wife, Jonneene; son and daughter-in-law, John and Pam Simonovich, Heyworth, Ill., daughters and son-in-law, Stacey and Vern Moon, Port Byron, Ill., and Leslie and Art Depoorter, East Moline, Ill.; nine grandchildren, Stephanie Simonovich, William Simonovich, Jennelle Daugherty, Tony Bustos, Mathew Moon, Zac Wilken, Greg Wilken, Madison Depoorter, Kaitlyn Depoorter; four great-grandchildren, Cy Simonovich, Alexis Tucker, Tommy Daugherty and Haleigh Daugherty; brother and sister-in-law, John and Francine Hansen, Moline. He was preceded in death by his son Mathew Hansen and his parents Howard R. and Marian Hansen. Mr. Hansen enjoyed building hand crafted model boats and airplanes, playing golf and fishing. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, February 6 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Runge Mortuary. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Moline. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Davenport.
