Barb fell while on her daily walk last Thursday and suffered a broken arm in 3 places.  She does not have a cast but must be so careful to not move her arm which is in a sling.  She was to her orthopedic doctor today and he said the bones are where they are suppose to be.  She is experiencing quite a bit of pain and of course, great difficulty in sleeping.  The doctor informed her it would be a 6-8 week recouperation period.....so after almost a week it looks like she will be down for 5-7 weeks.  Of course she is anxious to get better as she has the September 19th 70th Birthday Party for which she is chairman....guess she might have to delegate some of her priorities....and we're here to help.

 Oh me, oh my!!!!!!!  I am just reading this post today--August 30th--so this is week 4 or 5, isn't it?????  Am sooooooo hoping that your arm is healed/healing and that you are comfortable.  I do know that "at our age," it does seem to take physical therapy a bit longer to regain our strength.
